My Hidden Emotions – Sarina Adams

This week I came across this poem, and thought I will share it with you…because once in a while all of us feel like this. Hiding those deep emotions and keeping those deep dark secrets no one knows.

My rough exterior hides my true self; the anxiety, the fear, and the humiliation.
Like my sign the Libra.
It says I’m supposed to keep balance, but really what is good without evil.
That doesn't mean I don't have any feelings which nobody will ever see.
So I shall keep my hidden emotions inside, til the day I find someone whom I can share them with.
Thus the sadness in my heart will continue to grow.
Until one day I can either face-it or run from it.

Have a good one!

The statute of limitations has expired on most of our childhood trauma.

“No matter your past, change is the essence of life. In order to move forward in life we need to learn to live in the present.” – Dr. Gordon Livingston
This is based on the fact that our childhood experiences mould us to who we are today. Letting go of some experiences (bad) are difficult. We connect many memories to the things we do in our daily lives because we are shaped by our childhood and thus repeat what we have learned as a child, or avoid what we have experienced. Certain things have certain meanings to different people because of past experiences; they connect the meaning and feeling to that particular situation. I think this can happen consciously and subconsciously.
We must change our mindset in order to let go of negative past experiences. Even change in behaviour and attitude as well as choices can better our feelings and perceptions towards certain things, as this will help to get over things that bother you…but we must create the willingness and power to do so, because it comes from within.
When walking in the road and you fall into a hole, sometimes you struggle to get out. Next time you walk down that road and you see that same hole, cross the road and go walk on the other side.

NOT about Chord Overstreet

I actually wanted to blog about Chord Overstreet but didn’t want to look like a groupie so I decided not to. All I had to do is post one photo of him and then BOOM!!! Full marks haha! He is literally too hot to survive on this planet. (If you don’t know who he is you’re a loser and must go sit in the corner)

Anyhooo, moving on!! So as I can’t think about anything else to blog about now, I will come back later and continue this post.

Next day…

Okay I am back now with no better idea than I had, except that sushi is the best thing since the birth of Chord Overstreet. So since we are technically already on our weekend, let’s get our sushi and our drink on and freaking enjoy it. Almost like a pre-party, cause we’re almost done guys!!! Walk tall, and say it like you mean it. Peace J

Only bad things happen quickly.

“Only bad things happen quickly, . . . Virtually all the happiness-producing processes in our lives take time, usually a long time: learning new things, changing old behaviors, building satisfying relationships, raising children. This is why patience and determination are among life’s primary virtues. ”
Gordon Livingston

Yeah, and if it’s not happening quickly, it definitely feels like it. Accidentally falling pregnant, that happens quickly right?? :-O haha! I remember when I was in my car accident, that happened super fast, and 2-3 hours later I was booked into the hospital. Now, I am trying to get rich, and that is a good thing ne?...but noooo it’s taking forever.

Seriously, good things are worth enjoying the ride for, which is what makes it so exciting. I know we get impatient, but how you get there is what makes it worth your while to then enjoy. Embrace the bad things and don’t take it to your heart, because there might just be something special coming out of it. So don’t be sad or upset when something bad happens, it’s normally just to make space for the GOOD that is coming your way.

Bryce Lawrence – Not so much!

What a joke!!! I know everybody has been freaking out about this guy since he robbed us from our world cup on Sunday, but I still think it is sort of hilarious bbbhaha! Anyhoooo, here is something we can laugh about and then leave the poor sorry ass excuse for a ref A-looone.

Something I found on Facebook which I though was soooo funny…“Bryce Lawrence quit his ref job after Aus vs SA. Started new job on monday... So his 1st day at Blackberry didnt go well...
Here is a link where you can download the voice clip of Whackhead Simpson prank calling Bryce on your phone – http://www.pod947.co.za/podcast/whackhead/Whackheadswindow20111011.mp3

The bold and mighty forces will come to your aid

Except for the fact that we all believe in a higher being, whether it is God or not, I still think you yourself are the bold and mighty force that will come to your own aid. God is the guide that leads you to those choices, even your friends and family, but at the end you are the master of your own choices. You pick yourself up or throw yourself back down, you DO or you DON’T. You will decide on your own courage and bravery and in the end create and mould your own destiny, as well as challenge yourself to be a better you. The God and the forces within you will come to your aid.

LOVE

What is it about love that drives us crazy?? The feeling of being wanted and adored or the feeling knowing you have someone to share everything with? Maybe it is that feeling we get when that person touches or kisses you or tells you that they love you…you now that warm fuzzy feeling.

I think most of the time it is the excitement of wanting and experiencing love that draws us towards it in the first place, a junky for the chase of that cute guy or girl, getting his/her attention…the rest just follows as normal as if it is protocol, and then they live happily every after!!

Everybody (or actually most people) isn’t always that lucky, sometimes you must get hurt before you can find the right ‘one’. Just be careful not to make a game out of it.

The last lecture

This post title is relevant to “have you figured out the second head fake?” I am definitely not writing about that again so I will be writing about the actual last lecture…

On the day of our last lecture I probably won’t realize that I have finally broken free into the summer holidays, but am waiting on a long endless hard life of work (witch I might enjoy, hopefully). On the day of out last lecture I will just embrace it, enjoy the relaxation AND party hard!!! We all deserve it!! Nothing more to say, except that I am counting down the seconds.
