Only bad things happen quickly.

“Only bad things happen quickly, . . . Virtually all the happiness-producing processes in our lives take time, usually a long time: learning new things, changing old behaviors, building satisfying relationships, raising children. This is why patience and determination are among life’s primary virtues. ”
Gordon Livingston

Yeah, and if it’s not happening quickly, it definitely feels like it. Accidentally falling pregnant, that happens quickly right?? :-O haha! I remember when I was in my car accident, that happened super fast, and 2-3 hours later I was booked into the hospital. Now, I am trying to get rich, and that is a good thing ne?...but noooo it’s taking forever.

Seriously, good things are worth enjoying the ride for, which is what makes it so exciting. I know we get impatient, but how you get there is what makes it worth your while to then enjoy. Embrace the bad things and don’t take it to your heart, because there might just be something special coming out of it. So don’t be sad or upset when something bad happens, it’s normally just to make space for the GOOD that is coming your way.

  1. 'Bad things' tend to catch us off guard, but its all part of the bigger picture. Lessons can be learned from them all, like you say.
